  • publishes magazines for promoting business relations between Finland and the target country.
  • publications in 2004 are FINN-NICHE (UK) and HEADLINES (US)

Finn-Niche Limited is a privately owned publishing house. The self-supporting magazines, which promote business and cultural relations between Finland and target countries, are distributed to the members of Chambers of Commerce, Trade Guilds and other associations, through Commercial Sections of the various embassies, on Finnair flights and at business lounges, and at some selected hotels in Finland.


Brief History

1989
Founded by Olli V Virtanen (Editor-in-Chief) and Päivi Ylänen (Managing Editor). Editorial Assistant Riitta Kuosmanen, printing Markku Vartiainen.

 

1991
Markku Vartiainen acquires 50% of Finn-Niche Ltd shares from Olli V Virtanen in January. Päivi Ylänen becomes Editor-in-Chief.

 

Vartiainen acquires rest of Finn-Niche Ltd shares from Päivi Ylänen later that same year.
Markku Vartiainen becomes Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Finn-Niche magazine.

 

1994
The German edition of Finn-Niche was launched. In 1999 it was renamed FinnClusiv, and was published until 2004.

 

1996
Headlines, the U.S. edition was launched.

 

1999
ff-magazine for Franco-Finnish business relations and AssoFinlandia for Finnish-Italian relations were launched (both magazines have been stopped since).

 

2004
Baltic Niche newsletter launched for promoting business in the Baltic States.
